Meet Allyson! She was lots of fun to photograph and had the prettiest eyes and smile. Her session took place in studio and outdoors at a local park. I love that Allyson had a jacket and scarf to add to the simple jeans and pullover she brought to the session. The look of one style is so fast and easy to change. Plus accessories and layers always look fantastic in photos, adding color and textures really make a difference.

Summer is coming to end! School will start soon. Nature will show its beautiful autumn colors. And the holidays will be here before we know it. Despite the heat, I kept busy with outdoor sessions. While some outdoor sessions were postponed in hopes of “lower temps”, some could not be as I had sessions booked with teens and seniors from Colorado, Wyoming, California, New Jersey, and Arkansas who wanted something different than what their friends had. The sessions were held before their vacations ended and they headed home. In one case, early summer, temps soared to 100 degrees but we managed to get some great images.

The fall weekends are filling up fast….I actually began booking fall last spring. This is a very busy time of year because of the colors and the holidays. It’s not to early to reserve a date. If you are interested in a session, please call 571-242-9606.

Georgia came to Karen Becker Photography for her senior pictures and had a lot of fun. Her session included studio lighting indoors and natural light outside. Georgia brought some favorite outfits and also choose to be photographed in the black traditional drape. It was great meeting you and have a great (cool) summer!

Congratulations to Catherine who graduated from Foxcroft School in Middleburg! Catherine didn’t have to go anywhere for her session since I came to her home where I took her senior portraits in the front and back yard. Catherine is a natural beauty and she has the most amazing, crystal blue eyes. Even in B&W, her eyes are incredible! Catherine is a former ballet dancer and also a life guard during the summer. She has a bright future ahead of her and will be attending one of Virginia’s finest Universities. I’m so glad I got to meet you and Best Wishes on your new journey! I had a morning session with “M” and his parents at the park to beat the heat. He also brought along his dog (lab). “M” is 18 mos. when these were taken and it was fun to see him and his parents again since I had been taking his portraits since he was a baby.
